Geraldine Farrar (February 28, 1882 – March 11, 1967) was an American soprano opera singer and film actress, noted for her beauty, acting ability, and "the intimate timbre of her voice."[1] She had a large following among young women, who were nicknamed "Gerry-flappers".[2][3] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geraldine_Farrar

This is a scene from Carmen (Released 1915), directed by Cecil B. deMille. The photo was probably taken by William C. deMille, Cecil's brother and collaborator, and later an important director in his own right. The actor wearing the tri-conrner hat at is probably Pedro de Cordoba.
