The notes in the archive say House is probably St Annes which I take to mean St. Ann's in Clontarf, but I don't think that is right, compare this archive shot the columns/portico in Clontarf is less massive, more ornate.

    Congratulation for your beautiful Album.

It certainly isn't Clonbrock or Mote park.

CLON_1079 nearby in the index features the same dog and a different angle on the house. Likewise CLON_1075 likewise. This house and gardens were huge, like Powerscourt size.

Aha! Maybe Baronscourt? Yes, here are the massive pillars (The notes on nearby dogtastic CLON_1076 say Parkland in distance, on the grounds of one of the following houses St Annes, Baronscourt, Glenart, Shelton. leading me to look up Baronscourt)

Dog poses with nine people outside house!

Location is probably more readily identifiable from the front: catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000593352 Edit: It's not the same house, but Dog Man is there. Is he Mr Dempsey?

derangedlemur I don't think that is the same house - 'cos of the chimneys ...

Commissioned by him, but not necessarily his house.

The aftermath of a funeral, maybe? The chap with the dog has a black armband.

19 October 1919 was a Sunday ... did they have funerals on Sundays?
