She was engaged to Karl Boy-Ed already in 1915 (at least it was rumored), see The Day book., December 19, 1916, LAST EDITION, Image 14. They married at Hamburg in 1921 (The Washington herald., March 13, 1921, Page 3, Image 37, column 2) and had a daughter, Virginia Ida Boy-Ed (later Mrs. Stacy Lloyd, * 11. März 1922 in Hamburg; † 2006 in Barryville, according to the German wikipedia entry de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Boy-Ed).
