It's actually the Market House and Assembly Rooms, not the courthouse. In my defence, it's about 30 years since I've been there and I didn't pay much attention to which building was what back then.

Aside from the view not being blocked by a load of random stuff, It looks in some respects (e.g. gradient) more like the view up bridge street. I wonder if there was ever an unobstructed view of the markethouse from there. Mind you, that would put the cathederal in the wrong place.

It's now the Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum.

I was looking of information on William J. Baxter in newspaper articles and found one from April 11, 1908 in the Washington Post that said he had been informed that a dog that bit him at the Navy Yard had tested positive for rabies and he would have to undergo treatment.

Private Walter Leonard Baxter, Service number 1815 Born 18 November, 1892, at Evandale, Tasmania. Son of Edward Baxter and Margaret nee Fry He enlisted in the 12th Battalion on 13th January 1915 and embarked from Freemantle on 19th April 1915 for Egypt. He was treated for appendicitis in Cairo before proceeding to Gallipoli on 6 August 1915. He again suffered illness and was repatriated to Lemnos and then to England to recuperate and undergo training at the Machine Gun School of Instruction, Weymouth, before rejoining his unit in Alexandria. On 2 April 1916 Pte Baxter was transferred to the 52nd Battalion which embarked for Marseilles arriving on 12 June 1916. Pte Baxter was killed in action on either 3 or 4 September 1916, during the Battle for Mouquet Farm. He has no known grave and is memorialised at Villers-Bretonneux. ww1tas.gravesecrets.net/ba.html
