  The statue of Queen Victoria was apparently unveiled by King Edward VII in 1903 so the photo must be later (unless the statue was in place for some time before it was officially unveiled, but this seems unlikely)

  In Room III. there are several pencil studies, water colours, and a few oil studies by Walter Osborne, which latter have formed the basis of some of his larger paintings. Among the water colours is an unfinished one of Mr. John Hughes in his studio, which I had the pleasure of seeing Osborne working on at the time, shortly before his lamented death,

  Walter Osborne died on 24th April 1903.
