    My guess would be that this photo was taken on board the liner George Washington, which arrived on October 28, 1912, bearing a number of operatic stars including the three baritones pictured, Antonio Scotti, Pasquale Amato, and William Hinshaw. An article about the event from the New York Times available at this link.
