Would be great to see a higher resolution scan.

View east to Nob Hill from east of Van Ness and Fern Ave. Citizens National Bank was on the southwest corner of Polk and Fern. It reopened within one week of the fire and used its gutted brick building as a temporary measure. Bush (left) and Sutter (right) extend eastward. Fairmont Hotel on left, tops of buildings in Union Square area and Call Building on right. Edge of Sutter St. Railroad Co.'s ruined Powerhouse on far right.

Mission Dolores Church, Dolores and Sixteenth Streets, 1906

This is the Mission Dolores church, next door (north) of the original Mission Dolores that stands today (far left of photo). This photo was taken from the NE corner of 16th & Dolores facing SW.

To the far right, past the small building I think was the rectory, is
St. Francis Real School. Here it is with a 1906 bread line:

Taken when demolition was well underway. The earthquake did not do much visible damage.

Newsom's office was at 526 Larkin, between Turk and Eddy, so this is Turk near Larkin, looking northeast. In distance left, a streetcar moves down Eddy.
