From a Google Book source..."Post-Famine Ireland: Social Structure: Ireland As It Really Was" "John O Neill's bicycle factory in Dublin was started in 1894 originally assembling the bicycles but not manufacturing all the parts ( Weekly Irish Times April 5th 1913)" I don't have access to the newpaper archives to look that up!
