George, Charles Kerry was contracted by the Queensland Government to complete a photographic survey of all artesian bores in the state, although this is not necessarily one of the plates associated with that series.
It was common for these types of bores to run all the time.

I understand that the Tyrrell collection holds lots of the bore views.
Wisely perhaps, the PHM is strictly rationing these pics as few have the interesting background such as this. -
