    This was probably taken on the occasion of the A.A.U. 5 mile swim meet, 9/22/15, in which she also competed. The course was from Point Breeze, Rockaway to the Brighton Baths at Brighton Beach.
    (presumably pictured above). New York Times coverage said the race was cancelled midway due to the strong oncoming tides(apparently they were 100 yards behind where they started when the race was ended), but that Rubican, age 13, and another swimmer jumped out of the boats bringing them to shore to show that they were "not in the least exhausted", and that's what this picture seems to show.
