United States Army, retired, who died Monday in the hospital of the National Soldiers Home at Sawtelle near here of shock from broken hip Col Hutchinson was an officer of the 71th Regiment United Stales Infantry (old 107th New York National Guard) during the World War. He saw service in the Cuban War of 1893, the SpanishAmerican War, Mexican border troubles before outbreak of the world war and spent four years in the Philippines with the late Major General Leonard Wood. He served also as special government agent In Washington D C, New York, Chicago, Milwaukee, San Francisco and Los Angeles
