    The 7th Regiment, New York National Guard, later the 107th Infantry Regiment, marched off to war on September 11, 1917. The reviewing stand, at right, was at the Union League Club, then at E. 39th and 5th Ave., so this is looking north on 5th toward E. 40th St. The white building at center still stands and is part of the New York Public Library.
