Beeing a Poole image, the first courthouse I checked was Waterford, and it looks like a match: Streetview.

James Sealy was a circuit court judge in Waterford as early as 1925. Per this death notice for his son James (died at 92), the judge was married to Stella Mary (née Geoghan).

Here they are in the 1911 census, although James is recorded as a practising banister! 35 in 1911, so 68 or 69 here.

Married at least twice. This obituary of Douglas Sealy states: Douglas Hyde Sealy was born in 1929, the son of Judge James Sealy and Una Hyde, daughter of Douglas Hyde, first president of Ireland.

Debrett's from 1921 says: HIS HONOUR JUDGE SEALY. James C. Sealy; b. i8 "; Bar. King's Inns, Dublin 1902, and a K.C. ; appointed temporary Judge of Tipperary County Court 1921. Residence" St. Margaret's, Stillorgan Road, Donnybrook, Dublin.

Did we have this one up before Carol? Its a lovely wedding shot of some very handsome people and as you say unusual in that it is of members of our Jewish community.

I was going to say that there are quite a few with their heads uncovered but of course they would have yarmulkas on their heads having been at a religious service.

I suspect a close perusal of Page 7 of the Irish Times of Friday September the 6th 1901 might yield some interesting details.

The 1901 census lists 3618 people as Religion: Jew*. 1.25% of them could be in this photo!

The wallpaper could have been changed for such an occassion, nearly as dreary as the moustaches!!!!!

The man with the white beard could possibly be E.P. O'Kelly as he looks very similar to the photo in Paul Gorry's 'Baltinglass Chronicles'. He was the Wicklow MP in Redmond's Home Rule party. Does anyone know who's who in this photo
