Yes, looks like a water feature, so presumably on the grounds of some Big House near Doneraile.

I see a townland in Cork called Skehanagh, but not near Doneraile.

the titling says "SKEVANAGH CASCADE NEAR CORK ..." if that helps. Condensed script too, which might indicate c. 1890 -ish.

I have a virtual bottle of 1945 Chateau Latour, Pauillac (which I got at the exhibition yesterday) I will send It to the poster of the most informative comment on this photo. Mary

“Skehanagh Cascade.
Skehanagh, Doneraile, once had an exotic cascade, (pictured) created by Councillor Evans on a portion of the land he then owned. Little is known of it in local memory at this stage, but I am happy to be able to tell some of the story. It was situated in a field on the farm subsequently owned by the Hunter family, whose mother was a relative of mine (and of the local Walsh families of Laharn). I recall staying there on holidays as a student. Mai Hunter, born 1900, remembered it as a child and remembered the old Councillor Evans still visiting it in his later years. In my time the Cascade had become neglected and overgrown, largely reverting to a usual quarry with a mixture of some exotic trees, plants and many briars and weeds. I remember finding the fountain of the photo, broken at the floor of the cascade/quarry, and I recovered it using a tractor and rope. I then set it in concrete in the front garden of Hunter’s house. (Is it still there?) The quarry, which was clearly visible from the road was later filled in and is now barely detectable. I never saw water in it, but I suspect that the nearby stream was diverted into it for occasions. Was this enough to fuel the fountain jet visible in the picture? It being limestone land, there may have been a slugaire hole in the floor that took the water.”

She is here, however, in a pond, and a very pretty pond too, containing one or two miniature islands, clothed with weeping willows and fringed with green borders, ferns, palms, and flower beds. The goddess is standing on a scallop shell, supported on the shoulders of two cupids, who, seated astride of a couple of dolphins, are lustily blowing conch shells. The pedestal of the statue is about 3ft high out of the water; so the lady, although ocean borne, has rather a dry time of it, except when it rains.'
