Of course this photo was taken long before 1915. According to commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Cosima_Schleinitz.jpg it was taken around 1890 at the Bayreuth Festspielhaus (upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b3/Festspielhaus...)

B-59, thanks for the additional information. I'll ask to add their full names to the catalog record. The building behind them is clearly not the Bayreuth Festspielhaus, but it's possible it's a building nearby. If someone can find another reference to the location we might be able to add that information.

Jon (LOC P&P) Why do you think this is not the Bayreuth Festspielhaus? It fits perfectly IMO; compare with this detail:

LOC not misspelling: it's not "a Gurrune" but "a. Gutrune" (as Gutrune). Gutrune is the sister of Gunther in Richard Wagner's opera "Götterdämmerung" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6tterd%C3%A4mmerung)
