''Marie Carandini was the wife of an exiled Italian Count, Count Gerome Carandini, tenth Marquise of Saranzo, who came to Hobart, Tasmania, in the 1840s. She became a noted opera singer. Madame Carandini and her daughters Fanny, Rosina and Lizzie formed a famed singing group, traveling widely in Australia and overseas.
"She had eight children of whom five daughters were musical and took part in her tours. She died at London in 1894. Her eldest daughter Rosina Martha Hozanah Palmer was a notable soprano in Australia and her great grandson (by her son Major Frank James (Francesco Giacomo) Carandini, 11th Marquess of Sarzano) is the actor Christopher Lee." –Wikipedia
