    It's amazing how quickly many search engines "selling something" pick up a public domain image like this one and offer it for sale as a "print". Amazon and the several others are instantly listing this on Google. Important person during WWI ?? -- Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)

    A Mrs. Barton French was part of the women's committee of the American Ambulance Association, and served as a nurse in Paris during the war: books.google.com/books?id=4ncil8aUjuAC&lpg=PT87&d... Mary Walker Barton French (whose initials match the caption) (1866-1964) was born Mary Walker Fearn, married Seth Barton French first (one son, William), then married a Russian Prince, Sergei Wolkonsky.     Though the picture is dated 1920, it is likely that it and the next 7 pictures were taken on December 6, 1915 when Ms. DeWolfe returned to New York from Bordeaux, France aboard the French ocean liner Lafayette.
