Enoggera Barracks (also known as Gallipoli Barracks) is an Australian Army base in the northwestern Brisbane suburb of Enoggera in Queensland. It was officially established in the early 20th century when the area was used for field training, although the area was used by military units as far back as the mid-19th century. Since then it has been developed into a modern military base, which is now home to units of the 7th and 11th Brigades as well as the headquarters of the 1st Division and the 16th Aviation Brigade. According to this: tinyurl.com/kkk9qm Col. Wingate was commander of the 2nd Field Artillery Regiment of the NY National Guard in 1913. There were none when I commented but it listed 2 comments after I made mine although only mine appeared.

I don't think this is an artillery unit, Notice the aide on the col's left, he's carrying a colt .38 model 1909 with butt foreward, spurs and boots scream calvary. Of course I may be worng artillery was moved by horse at that time ( poss. 1912- 1916). When do you think the pic was taken?

I don't think this is an artillery unit, it may be cavlary

This is a scene at the July, 1913 encampment of the New York State National Guard, a training session held at Hicksville, Long Island. The Bain/LOC files contain numerous photos that document this event.
