  I have spent many an hour in the nearby taverns, back in the 1970s. I recall the building well, but my visions were rarely this clear.

  This building was featured in the 1986 Billy Crystal/Gregory Hines movie "Running Scared." Their characters (a couple of burned out Chicago cops), roller skated into this bank to get a loan to buy a Key West bar!
