This picture shows the amphibian version of the Albatros Renn-Eindecker (RE) - German for racing monoplane. This floatpplane version had wheels which could be retracted. As prescribed in the rules of the German Bodensee seaplane contest 1913 the machines had to start from land and land on water. Hence this amphibian construction. The name of the Albatros firm can just be seen in the biggest scan on the side of the fuselage. The design of this machine was by the young and brilliant Ernst Heinkel, then chief designer of Albatros. This is the floatplane only version of the Albatros Renn-Eindecker - Racing monoplane of 1913. A seperate version was realized which was floats only, no way that it could start and land on land. Clearly visible that the float construction only has fewer struts to the fuselage, making it lighter. A good way to describe this one is Albatros Race Monoplane (1913) Floatplane only.

Looking at the side of the fuselage gives away that this is an Albatros Taube

I am not the ultimate man for accuracy, but it is Albatros not Albatross.
