Surely not right to call this "Central"?

I think it is well before 1906 - more like 1901. i can never imagine Central Station ever looking like this.

Certainly before 1901 when the excavations for Central began.

This is the "old" Central/Redfern station not today's Central or today's Redfern station in Lawson St :)

It is interesting to compare this photo with an earlier one by Henry King taken from exactly the same position (see how the Town Hall lines up with the Cathedral Tower). The building looked a lot better WITHOUT the later Centennial Hall, and the porte-cochère (added 1892, demolished 1934). www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2362659273/
