Title needs amending to Australian Eleven Hotel. It was on Elizabeth Street at the NE corner with Kettle Street, across the street from Redfern Park. See www.flickr.com/photos/state-records-nsw/6662642331/sizes/o/ Grid 10D - it was still there in 1928, so this is not a demolition photo. Mrs Laura Creamer was landlady in the late 1880s - trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/28355508 - and from the crossed-out sign, it looks like she had recently been replaced. I am not sure how to look up licencees, bu the date must be c.1890 like several of these 4481 photos with vignetting at the corners. I wonder what the story behind this photo is?
