Albert Wolff was an operatic conductor and composer. He composed the music for the opera version of L'oiseau Bleu (the Blue Bird) which debuted in December, 1919. Boris Anisfeld was a Russian artist and designer, who designed both the scenery and the costumes for L'Oiseau Bleu.

Thanks Seuss., we'll update the catalog record and fix Anisfeld's name.

Giovanni Martinelli (22 October 1885 – 2 February 1969) was an Italian operatic tenor who sang at the New York Metropolitan Opera for 32 seasons, starting in November 1913. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giovanni_Martinelli

If anyone can identify the other man, we'd love to have names for both of them.

Could it be James Wolfe as in www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/basso-without-a-cou... and www.ebay.com/itm/373776635888 He and Martinelli both sang in a new production of Aida in November 1923. It was Wolfe's debut at the Met. See archives.metoperafamily.org/archives/scripts/cgiip.exe/WS...

swanq, I looked at the links you provided. I don't think it could be Wolfe as our man has attached earlobes and Wolfe's look to be free. I searched newspaper around the date to see who performed with Martinelli, but none of them matched this man.
