What an amazing building! Wonder if it has survived?

There was only one Baker listed in Lahinch in the census of 1901 and 1911, his name was Mortimer Rush: www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai000468054/ In 1901, his house is listed as a shop, but in 1911, although he is still a baker, his house is listed as a public house.

May I also point out that this is Lahinch (or sometimes Lehinch), and not Ennis as mapped?

Actually, I think this may be Ennistymon. Here is Frank Comber in 1901, Publican and Baker.

Hey Carol, I am but a - enough of the song writing. How would you describe the dog accompanying the other gent? Nice photo and again look at the quality of the image given the age of the photo? Wonderful stuff!

I think he's wet!!!!! I thought collie as well but if I were as wet as he and had as much hair I reckon I might be of indeterminate breeding also?

Swordscookie Visit to Specsavers for me is indicated for the New Year! Have just realised there's two dogs - the wet one you're probably talking about (which I'd completely overlooked!) and a dry one sitting quietly beside the far fisherman. That's the one I was initially talking about! :D
