This is a team photo of the BFC Viktoria 1889 (Berliner Fußball-Club Viktoria 1889), a Berlin soccer team that won the German national soccer championship in 1894, 1908 and 1911. This photo appears to have been taken in 1911 or 1912, around the time of the club's last national championship (the outfits are consistent with those worn in another championship photo from 1911, while the 1908 team was wearing knee-length shorts). The handwritten ID on the photograph uses the English spelling "Victoria". However, the more commonly used German spelling is "Viktoria".

"The Soccer football team from the Koln will play the Royal Australian Naval Team at 2 pm on Wednesday in Lyne Park." 2 pm on Wednesday 10/05/1933. Presumably before the match due to the lack of mud! Australian National Maritime Museum on The Commons I thought that too, but the two stripes and a star on his sleeve indicate Oberleutnant (Sublieutenant), according to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Navy . I imagine there are more in the series to come.
