From the DIA: Name: CUTLAR, ROBERT ANTHONY Building: CO. WATERFORD, WATERFORD, PARNELL STREET, CHURCH OF ST JOHN (RC) Date: 1930 Nature: Repairs to tower & other works. Refs: IB 72, 8 Nov 1930, 1011. That doesn't mean the works happened in 1930, just that the Irish Builder published something about them in 1930.

Great photo Carol, thanks for posting.

This is a photo taken by my dad from a little further up Parnell Street around 1960.

Shell Oil at Greenwich Point is at Gore Cove. I know this is confusing as Gore Bay is on the west side of Greenwich Point at the mouth of Gore Creek.

This is indeed what Shell called it's Gore Bay Terminal. It's now owned and operated by "Viva Energy". This photo shows 4 Tanks that are almost certainly still supplying Sydney with Diesel fuel, with the first one built in 1901 !!
