schooluniforms

Does anyone recognise the tie, the badge or the hat? We'd love to identify the school these lads were cheering so hard for.

goal!

They look older than school boys, people tend to look different through different periods of time.

Brisbane Grammar School, Gregory Terrace was dark blue, light blue in the design of the ties worn here. The hat of this epoch (at least 1955) was the felt hat worn here and a magnification of the hat band of the boy centre shows an, I would say, certain partial Grammar logo visible centre on the band. (The boy on the right is not wearing a blazer and the badge is not the BGS badge - unless an Old Boys badge) Rugby attempted tackle, I imagine . . . Rah Rah Rah!!

Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School has offered girls a first-class, independent, non-denominational education for over 130 years. We are one of eight original Grammar Schools in Queensland. Ipswich Girls’ Grammar has a history of strong and successful women, some of whom were pioneers in their chosen fields. On March 1, 1892, Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School officially opens. Thirty-one girls start their secondary education under the charge of Miss Fanny Hunt. By the end of the year, 48 pupils are on the roll, six of whom are boarders. Our School motto is, and will always remain—Omnia Superat Diligentia—diligence overcomes all. Source: iggs.qld.edu.au/why-iggs/heritage-and-tradition/
