(He had previously been DLE at Nyngan in 1952) I was a schoolchild in Dubbo at this time and remember seeing the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh as they drove around the oval in the football grounds. The photo depicts the moment when he is introduced to her and he welcomes her to Bathurst. The Queen complemented him on how beautiful his Railway Station was kept. He had many healthy plants about the station and kept an immaculate Railway Station.
