This is the Tye River 3.0 miles west of US 29. The river gauge was washed out during the flood. Above left of the two lane bridge (151) is an abandoned quarry.

Yikes! I used to have to cross that bridge to get to work in that same year! (I think it was replaced by the new Manchester Bridge before Hurricane Agnes. (?)
