it's amazing how many photos of celebrities are on the great liners. We never see photos of modern celebrities on airplanes :)

Kilted Cowboy We see them in airports. AFAIK, the photographers would ride small boats out to meet the incoming liners, shoot the incoming notables from a passenger list they had bribed a clerk for, and stay aboard until the last moment on a departing liner, leaving on a small boat. Paparazzi of their day.
