Sorry Harrison we do not know the specific date although the fashions suggest 1880s-1890s.

It is likely that these photographs were taken between 1887 and 1890, as we have recently discovered that this was virtually the only time when Pattison was active and living in Hartlepool

The photo has a very relaxed feel to it, despite the restrictive "beach wear".Glad the tide was out when this was taken. A mad scramble for the shore might have been tricky.
