    Débora Even if it probably is a school textbook! These studio portraits clearly segregate a Mrs from a Miss. While the latter may have a book, the former may have a women's magazine such as Lady of the House. A wife/mother has no time to read books?

    Suspiciously white background to the wasp waist. I don't think there was much lace pulling involved. Also, breathing in makes your waist bigger, not smaller - you need to breathe out to shrink.

    8 Miss Norcotts in Co. Cork in the 1911 census. If the date range is correct, we can rule out the older 4.

    Ivy was a Miss until 1928, Olga until 1935, both married from a Cork address. I don't see a marriage or death record for Mary Francis or Ellen, perhaps the family emigrated? I see the wedding of parents Nicholas and Mary Hurley in 1899, but no death for Nicholas or Mary.
