    Her name was Evelyn Nesbit. She was a chorus girl who had relationships with Stanford White, John Barrymore, & the rather unstable Mr. Thaw. During a performance one night, Thaw shot Stanford White in the face three times, killing him instantly. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evelyn_Nesbit
