Compare this to an almost identical view from the Tyrrell Collection here by King: www.flickr.com/photos/powerhouse_museum/2363496110/ By comparing the growth of trees and shrubs and by comparing the state dilapidation of the wooden paling fence in the foreground bordering the vacant block of land and the roadway , I would say that this Phillips collection view preceded the other by between 4 and 10 years.

trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/71384207/5335401 - the Australian Town & Country Journal, 20th October, 1900...similar view here (see pic on 3rd page of link)...the T&CJ pic looks to be a few years later than the Henry King PHM pic...I suspect the T&CJ artist might have added a few pine trees for aesthetic purposes...
