In 1877 this happened - "A LATE high tide has done considerable damage at Tramore, Ireland. Part of the new pier at Lady's Cove has been swept away, and the new promenade road has been torn up. Does this mean that the photo is after 1877, and Mr French / Lawrence / Eblana was imagining what the rebuilt pier would look like?

Looks later than Mr Poole due to the hats - catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000316089 EDIT - there is a poster on the concrete slab above the nearby steps with "Tramore Regatta" and an illegible(?) date.
