In 1877 this happened - "A LATE high tide has done considerable damage at Tramore, Ireland. Part of the new pier at Lady's Cove has been swept away, and the new promenade road has been torn up. The sea has swept in over the land and covered large districts." From - trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/170435205?searchTerm=t... Does this mean that the photo is after 1877, and Mr French / Lawrence / Eblana was imagining what the rebuilt pier would look like?
