    Mich Distant gasholder appears to be No 3 gasholder at Mortlake, (erected 1917 & demolished c1990), the largest in Australia, and about 60 metres high. It was a landmark feature, visible from trains crossing the Harbour Bridge. Also see: trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/15514429

Regarding Hall being in two places at the same time, we reckon either one may have been taken by an employee of Hall & Co, especially seeing as this is a c 1932 image which makes this theory seem likely as the Hall business would have been more established.

    Possibly taken at different times, but on the same day for the bridge opening? Probably too difficult to say for sure.
