Strange that it doesn't say what ship this is.

Zooming in on the picture it says Carmania. Possibly the RMS Carmania en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMS_Carmania_(1905) ?

Just because it is in the tags now does not mean it was when Lú posted. Anyone can add tags to these images. The Carrnania tag was added by Pixel Wrangler, but I don't know when. (Tags show authorship, but no dates, in API.) -- Seen on your photo stream. (?)

Carmania belonged to the Cunard Line. She entered service in 1905 along with her near-identical sister Caronia. Of the two, Carmania was equipped with turbines whilst Caronia had the standard engines, an experiment designed to determine how the upcoming Lusitania and Mauretania would be engined. Carmania was the faster ship. The experiment was a success and the new liners received turbine engines. Carmania served as an Armed Merchant Cruiser in World War 1 and has the distinction of being the only liner to engage and sink another liner named Cap Trafalgar in a battle of Trinidad in September 1914.

this could also be taken when he captained the Aquitania on her maiden voyage On 30 May 1914. As Commodore for Cunard, he also captained Mauretania and Lusitania on their maiden voyages. The air intakes behind him could be the Aquitania, or possibly Lusitania after her original caps had been torn off by storms and replaced with this more conventional style later in her career. (Or Mauretania at any time) However their apparent closeness most resembles the pair aside Aquitania's #1 funnel. see the photo:
