Wait a minute - the railway opened in 1893 and I think they are building it here. The large size shows what looks to be stacks of rails. So 1892? That makes more sense with the square riggers in the background. Andy Brill It looks like a westerly wind, so all the smoke and filth from Balmain area is blowing towards the north shore.
