Something I've noticed in some "stereo pairs" in the NLI collection. This is an example of a true "stereo pair" image. It was taken with a camera with two lenses at the same time. The views should show subtle differences; I've labelled the photos to show an area that shows a difference in the two views. Looking at the image through a stereoscopic viewer would recreate the effect and give a very convincing 3D effect. I've noticed in some nli "stereo pairs" that the pair of images look identical and therefore wouldn't have a 3D effect when viewed through a stereo viewer.

derangedlemur Excellent, Foley's Bridge, thank you! Looks even more lovely in Autumnal colours. Which is more correct - Tullymore or Tollymore? Or do they co-exist peacefully?
