  James Mark Sullivan (1873-19201935), cousin of Tammany Hall's Tim Sullivan, was an Irish-born, Yale-educated lawyer and an American diplomat (briefly the minister to Santo Domingo) who (after leaving the State Department's employ) was arrested in Dublin in 1916 for aiding the Irish rebellion.
