That's a superb shot. The photographer was dead on with his focus, better than some of our "amazing" autofocus cameras would do. Thanks for coming up with more of this good stuff!

Captainslack: Thanks for the additional information on Gray's wife. We will update the source data and reload the description.

The date appears to be March 23rd, 1913, so they would have been walking in the Easter Parade along Fifth Avenue.

I believe this couple is visible in one of the other Easter Parade photos here. I recognize her hat!

This is a lovely photograph of the Gray Family who lived at Outlack House, Lisnadill. By September 1907 three of the girls [Elizabeth, Vina and Eveline] had already emigrated to America and in November of that same year 16 year old Annie followed. From left to right they are - Annie, Martha Lavina [Vina], Rebecca, Herbert, Mrs Jane Gray [nee Couser], Eveline, Thomas, Elizabeth and Mary Ethel.

Who wrote the "I wonder??" under Van Hooris's citation? Cynics abound, as a foreigner and a non military man I can only marvel at his courage and would doubt the doubter!
