The text in German is Der Flieger Karl Ingold, der durch einen Flug von 16 Stunden 20 Minuten einen neuen Weltrekord im Überlandflug ohne Zwischenlandung aufstellte; er stieg am 08. Februar [1914] morgens in Mülhausen i. E. auf, flog über Gotha, Naumburg, Kottbus und die Lausitz, bog dann nach Süden bis Kempten und landete schließlich nachts 11,55 bei München. Er erhielt für seinen 1700-km-Flug den Städtepreis der Nationalflugspende. Bruno Langers Weltrekord wird durch den Flug Ingolds nicht beeinträchtigt, da eine Dauerhöchstleistung nur auf dem Flugplatz vor den Augen der Sportzeugen gewertet wird. Karl Ingold obtained German flying license (Flugzeugführer) No.114 on 13 September 1911.

    Ingold was in the news already in 1913 when he made another short overland flight on 26 September 1913. This is the (small) report as published in Flugsport Von Mülhausen (Elsaß) nach Leipzig flog am 26. September Ingolf auf Aviatik-Eindecker 100 PS Argus-Motor in 6 Studen. Er flog in Mülhausen am 6 Uhr morgens ab und landete um 12 Uhr mittages in Leipzig auf dem Flugplatz Mockau. Gegen 4 Uhr ist er nach Johannisthal aufgestiegen, wo er 4 1/2 Uhr eintraf.
