This is a very early French Breguet in service with Aeronautique Militaire. Due to their (stupid, I can't put it any other way) habit of writing the digits 3 and 5 so they are almost impossible to differentiate, I don't know if this extremely interesting photo shows BR 34 or BR 54. Don't think these Breguets ever went to any front line units. Stig

The picture in the collection of Horace Balsley is obviously only a part of the picture. The full commercial postcard (carte postal) can be seen at i64.photobucket.com/albums/h179/Varese2002/Breguet616_001... On the original card it might be possible just to read (with a detail scan ?) the small lettering on the fuselage side (about the place of the pilot) which gives the exact Breguet type identification. IMO the fin shows BR 34 with underneath Charge maximal 275 (kg)

Sometime ago I acquired an original copy of that postcard. The marking on the tail is without doubt BR34.
