Hazelbrook House at the top right of the photo was demolished in the 1920's and the bricks used to build two neighbouring houses. It is from this house the town got its name. The block on which it stood is now the railway station car park.

Actually, Hazelbrook House covered 3 house blocks plus the car park. I live on the sight of the old house and this house has carried the Hazelbrook House name since it was built in 1920. The original house's servant's quarters are attached to my home (built in 1889 and I am sitting in it typing this).
