  Yes, it is the Goodlet & Smith Ltd warehouse (built 1884). See SMH 5/7/1884 p.9 - trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/13561628 . This article talks about a five-storey timber and galvanised iron workshop, and this stone store under construction. Possibly the plans changed to what we see here? Cute building to the left was the Goodlet & Smith Ltd offices - acms.sl.nsw.gov.au/item/itemDetailPaged.aspx?itemID=188768

  The same entrepreneurial company of Goodlet & Smith ran the Surry Hills Pottery on Goodlet St from 1871-1915. Shortly after this site was remodelled to become the Sydney Sports Arena, a popular steep-sided timber velodrome. It was pulled down in 1940.
