    Proviso and 40th St. were two different yards. This is Proviso, this is 40th St. The locomotive shop is now in use by Union Pacific and referred to as M19-A.

    Aha! After a fair amount of research, I figured out exactly where the shop is. Looks like the original building is still standing (satellite photo).
