Excellent shot once again NLI. As you said they do look relaxed though the future of the prisoner might be rather uncertain. He is a fine looking young man and there is almost a sense of relief in his expression. Patrick the men in uniform are Free State or Pro-treaty soldiers and the young prisoner is a Republican rebel or anti-treaty soldier. Both were probably on the same side some months earlier fighting against the British and now they were killing each other with equal ferocity in their disagreement as to how the war should have ended. The prisoner is one of the lucky ones because as usual in civil wars mercy was not always shown by either side.

Just down teh street, there apears to be a road block or barricade across the street, to the left here as you look down is the turning for Glengarrif Parade, so you are spot on
