Bob Mockler was the Dublin Captain on the day. I was at Croke Park yesterday - still very disappointed by the result.

Collins and Boland(Chairman, Dublin County Board and Sinn Féin TD for Roscommon), though great friends, found themselves on opposite sides in the Civil War which would claim both of their lives within a year. Mockler Played for Tipperary in his early career and Dublin later on. Note it was a Seventeen man game then!!!. We have come across Mr Mockler before. Robert "Bob" Mockler (born 1885) was an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Tipperary and Dublin senior teams from 1909 until 1924. Mockler made his first appearance for the Tipperary team during the 1908 championship and was a regular member of the starting seventeen for the next few seasons. He subsequently enjoyed a decade long career with Dublin before retiring from the game after the 1924 championship. During that time he won three All-Ireland medals, five Leinster medals and one Munster medal.[1] Mockler captained Dublin to the All-Ireland title in 1920. Re Sports Poster - the top line says Gaelic Athletic Association From www.banteerhistory.ie/images/Hillary/1909.pdf Michael O Callaghan Inchemay and Arthur O Sullivan Nadd won All Ireland titles in the All Ireland sports held under GAA rules at Mallow on July 18th 1909. Michael O Callaghan won the four mile flat championship from M. Hourigan Ballingarry 2nd. On the last lap the Banteer man won going exceedingly strong and finished up with plenty to spare. Amid much excitement he received a standing ovation. Arthur O Sullivan won the mile championship from R. Barry Glanworth So looks like your 1909 is correct I would suggest August 1909
