Found in El Paso Herald issue February 22, 1911 (The Library of Congress, Chronicling America) an article that mentions the soldiers where moved from Juárez bullring to another quarter behind the customs house. Is it possible the Call Nr. locates this picture on February 1911? Dr. Roberto Duarte

Often that is the case in the collection, but not all the time. This is a very interesting piece of information you have found, though, and may be an explanation for the activity shown. I posted this picture in my PhotoStream someone comented it as wast taken at Avenida Lerdo and Calle Abram González , rather than avenida Lerdo and calle Manuel Bernal. Maybe he (she) is right. Because from the point he stablishes there are about 100 meters from the barricade to the federal headquarters www.flickr.com/photos/jesusduarte/5872145394/ . And makes sense for the barricades. It has to ve evaluated sister picture www.flickr.com/photos/library_of_congress/2162705877/ in which the irrigation canal is the clue. Acording to actual maps of the city the camera is facing towards the headquarters. The buildings depicted here exist no more. The irrigation canal does, but is covered at this level by some structures.
