This is a great idea, i work with young people to help them make documentaries and it's great that there's a place we can find archive to use in their projects.

I think the writing in the photo refers to CIudad Juárez, Chihuahua.

It does, and can only be one of 2 BATTLES, ONE IN 1911 AND ANOTHER IN 1915

Has to be the 1911 battle, since the Library of Congress has not posted any Bain photos from 1915 yet. At this point (August 2010) the Bain photostream on Flickr is up to February, 1914.

Many Scott's photos are copyrihted scratching " Scottphoto 1911". Trying to find other Scott photos from years different than 1911. Dr. Roberto Duarte

This photo matches with another Bains News picture entitled "federal barricade captured by insurrectos". They show the same place. Taken on Lerdo avenue; it´s a isoseles triangle shaped block (whose base is Vicente Guerrero street), Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. I'd like to ad a photo that depicts how it looks today, but don't know how to. Dr. Roberto Duarte

I'm curious. Why is the man standing in front of the Library wearing a top hat, tails & Fancy dress trousers? That would be formal evening wear. Who is he & what party was interrupted. My guess is that he was a follower of neither Emilio Zapata nor Pancho Villa.
